The 5AM Hopkinsville team
If you have a student at Christian County High School, the state's top education official just got a look around. Kentucky Commissioner of Education Dr. Robbie Fletcher visited the Hopkinsville campus, observed Tiger Commitment and met with stakeholders, and says he witnessed "vibrant learning". He also said reading is on the rise in Kentucky, and that Trigg, Christian, Todd and other schools scored high in dual credit and post-secondary readiness. And yes, Christian County volleyball did win that Second Region title.
The school board has a new member, too. Whitney Holland was sworn in Thursday night as the District 5 representative after winning Tuesday's election with 1,450 votes. The seat was vacant, so she fills the unexpired term and can start immediately instead of waiting until January.
