The antique tractor and engine show at Cherokee Park began Friday at 8:00 a.m. and continues today with a Parade of Power at 11:00 a.m. for tractor pull fans; admission is free (t-shirts are available to purchase and donations support local youth).

Hopkinsville Fire Department honored fallen emergency responders on Sept.

11 as Battalion Chief Spencer Wood, who served 26 years, climbed four flights at Fire Station 5. Wood made his final climb after his last shift on Sept. 10 (marking his retirement) as city leaders joined the tribute.

U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company broke ground on a $250 million manufacturing facility on Weyman’s Way that will double its workforce with over 200 new jobs in Christian County.

Christian County High School teacher Paula Gieseke was honored on Wednesday in Frankfort with the 2027 Kentucky Teacher Achievement Award, one of nine statewide winners chosen from 600 nominations.
