The 12th annual Hopkinsville Antique Tractor and Small Engine Show filled Cherokee Park over the weekend—featuring a parade of power with vintage tractors, trucks, and engines.

On Sept. 12, Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library hosted its second annual Battle of the Badges Kickball Tournament at Debow Park, where children aged 8 to 17 teamed up with local first responders & community members.

The Hopkinsville Police Department clinched the win for the second consecutive year.

This week in Hopkinsville, nearly 40 firefighters (from Station 5 on Walton Way) marked the 25th anniversary of Sept.

11 by climbing the training tower and reading aloud the names of first responders who died in the attacks. The local fire department has held this tribute every year since 2001.

Christian County High School art teacher Paula Gieseke was named a 2027 Kentucky Teacher Achievement Award winner, recognizing her as one of the top three high school teachers in the state.

Thirty-three local students in the Youth Leadership program gathered at Jeffers Bend Environmental Center to create a nature-themed mural—using random selections from a hat.

Their session kicks off monthly activities and volunteer service that build leadership skills.
